Danish Citizens Traveling To Uganda
If you are Danish, you would be used to cold seasons for most of the years but when you decide to take a holiday, you most likely would prefer to visit warmer regions where the sun is up for most of the year. Every year, many Denmark passport holders travel down south to temperate regions, and African countries, including Uganda, are top destinations for many of them.
Uganda is home to wonderful Parks and Mountain peaks like Bwindi and Ruwenzori. There are natural parks, resorts, rich wildlife, and tourist landmarks across the East African nation that will make your time in the country a worthwhile experience. But to enjoy all this splendor, you need an Uganda Visa.
The Ugandan e Visa
Visitors coming to Uganda for a short time don’t have to visit the Ugandan embassy in Copenhagen to obtain an electronic visa unless they plan to stay in the country longer than 45 days. Instead, what they need is an e-visa.
The government of Uganda launched the Ugandan e visa in 2016 to make it easier for Danish citizens and citizens of other countries to apply for digital visas. E visas are easy to obtain by filling out an online application form and uploading all the necessary documents to complete the application. This travel document is valid for 90 days and allows the holder to stay in Uganda for up to 45 days.
There are two categories of e visas; single entry and multiple entry visas. Single entry visas can only be used once, but a multiple entry visa can be used several times before it expires.

Types of Uganda e Visa
Danish citizens can apply for any of the three types of e-visas depending on their needs. Applying for any of them is fast and easy as the same process is involved. We review them below.
Transit e Visa
This visa is a top choice for Danish citizens who want to experience life in Uganda briefly, especially in the capital city, Kampala, before they continue their journeys to their final destination. This visa allows visitors to stay for up to 2 days. However, a transit visa is not required for those who stay at the airport. This visa is recommended for travelers on a long journey who may require short stops to rest for a while.
Tourist e Visa
The most popular e-visa Denmark passport holders apply for is the e-visa for tourism. This visa is valid for 90 days and allows a maximum stay of 45 days. It’s the visa of choice for tourists who want to enjoy the sights and sounds of Uganda. It is also the ideal visa for Denmark citizens who want to visit family and friends in Denmark.
East African e Visa
Besides the first two options, the East African e visa is the third option. This visa allows the holder to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya. This travel document gives the holder access to these three countries for a period of 45 days.
So if you’ll like to enjoy an unforgettable experience traveling to more than one country, this is the visa you should apply for.
