Thanks to online visa applications, increased airline routes, and a boost in tourism, it's not easier than ever for Tanzania citizens to visit Turkey. Tanzania nationals can fly from Dar es Salaam and, in less than eight hours, land in Istanbul.
However, while traveling to Turkey, there are some things you must have, including a valid visa. In this article, we have mentioned everything Tanzanian nationals need to know while traveling to Turkey.
So, without further ado, let's get into it!
Turkey Visa Options for Tanzanians
Besides its delicious cuisines and astonishing landscapes, Turkey is also known for its unmatchable hospitality. The entire country is working hard to make it the capital of tourism. Therefore, they offer different types of visas.
Turkey even offers visa exemption to some countries, meaning their nationals can travel to Turkey without a valid visa. However, the real question is, do Tanzanians enjoy Turkey visa exemption?
Ordinary Passport Holders
Well, Tanzanian ordinary passport holders don’t enjoy the visa exemption. All ordinary passport holders are required to have a visa in order to visit the country.
Ordinary passport holders have two different options. They can either get an e-visa or a traditional one. Unfortunately, e-visa is not for all Tanzanian citizens. There are some conditions you must fulfill to get a Turkey electronic visa.
Diplomatic Passport Holders
Alternatively, all diplomatic passport holders and service passport holders from Tanzania enjoy the visa exemption. The visa exemption allows them to enter Turkey without a visa at all.
Without a visa, Tanzania citizens can stay in the country for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Afterward, they are required to leave the country and apply for a valid visa.
