The Singapore E Visa
The government of Singapore has a robust online visa policy for citizens of 15 countries who wish to visit the country for short stays. Russian citizens happen to be among the 15 foreign nationals who may visit Singapore on an electronic visa. This visa is only online, so you don't need to visit the consulates in Moscow or St. Petersburg to apply as a Russian passport holder.
You can access and fill out the form from the comfort of your home, attach the necessary documents and submit it for approval; it's that simple.
The e-visa is an electronic visa, just like a conventional visa but is only designed for short-term visits. The Russian citizen may enter Singapore with a visa but not stay for more than 15 days per visit. Visitors are expected to be law-abiding during their stay and must exit the island before the 15th day.
The e-visa is not for Russians seeking employment or students coming in for study. Singapore operates a very strict visa policy as a means to control the population on the Island. Those seeking employment opportunities in Singapore or wishing to study in any of their institutions of learning may apply for a work or study visa. The electronic visa is strictly for tourism or short-term business visits. This means that visitors coming into the country on this visa are not allowed to engage in any form of paid work.
