Oman Visa On Arrival
Currently, the government of Oman no longer offers visas on arrival to visitors at their Muscat international airport or borders of entry. Visa on arrival issuance was stopped from February 2019 and substituted with the electronic visa scheme. This special visa is available to citizens of more than 60 eligible countries who can apply for it online.
Despite the end of visa in arrival in Oman, visitors can obtain the e visa before they board a flight heading to Oman.
Oman e Visa
The Oman e-visa is an electronic travel authorization visa available to tourists looking to visit the Kingdom to enjoy its sights and sounds. The government of Oman announced new e visa guidelines in 2018 that all applicants must adhere to when filling out the online application form.
An E visa is only applicable for short stays and tourism only. The process is done online, so the applicant doesn’t need to deal with third parties or submit physical documents for review. They only need to scan and upload the necessary documents and receive their valid visa via their registered email address.
Also, note that the e-visa is electronically linked to your passport, so you don’t have to print a copy of the e-visa if you don’t want to. E visas allow the holder to stay in Oman for a maximum period of 30 days, after which they must exit the country. It is also a single-entry visa, so you can only use it once. An Oman e visa is valid for 1 year and cannot be extended until an existing one expires.
Documents Required To Apply For An E Visa To Oman
Before you apply for the e-visa, you must first enquire if your country is on the Omani e-visa list. If you are from an eligible country, proceed with your application by providing the following.
Valid Passport
A Valid passport with at least 6 months of validity. The applicant must scan the first and last page of the passport. The passport should also have at least two blank pages for visa stamps. You should also provide the passport number.
Proof of Accommodation
Proof of accommodation such as a hotel reservation for tourists or the contact address of a family or friends in whose house you will be staying.
Proof of Funds
Proof of funds to prove that you can cover your expenses during your stay in Oman. A bank statement of account showing a positive net balance and entries over the last 6 months is accepted.
Photograph
A passport-sized photograph taken recently. The photograph must show the applicant’s face clearly. Only clear photos on a white background are accepted.
Return Ticket Confirmation
A copy of your return ticket for the return trip back to your country.
Debit or Credit Card
A debit or credit card to complete the online payment of the visa fee.

Variations of The Oman E visa
The average e Visa is only valid for 30 days, but there are different classes of visas, as we shall see below.
Single Entry Visa: The single entry version is valid for 90 days – 1 year and allows a maximum stay of 30 days per visit.
Single Entry for GCC Countries: Citizens and residents of GCC countries can stay for 30 days, which is valid for only 30 days.
Multiple Entry Visa: The multiple entry visa allows for a maximum stay of 39 days and is valid for one year.
