Start Your Application: Begin your application by clicking the “Renew Your Passport” button.
Enter Passport Information: Provide details from your most recent passport.
Enter Travel Plans: Input your travel plans to ensure you meet the online renewal requirements.
Upload a Digital Photo: Upload an original, digital photo in .JPEG format (no selfies or scanned photos).
Sign and Pay: Complete the application by signing electronically and paying the necessary fees.

Limited Availability: The online system will be open for a limited window each day, primarily in the middle of the day (Eastern Time). Once the daily limit is reached, the system will close. If you cannot start your application on a specific day, try again another day.
Processing Time: Expect a processing time of at least eight weeks from the date you submit your renewal application.
System Monitoring: The Department of State is limiting the number of daily applications during the beta phase to monitor the system’s performance in real-time.
