Are you a Bangladeshi citizen and would like to visit Egypt in the coming weeks? You definitely need an Egypt visa for Bangladeshi. This visa applies not only to Bangladesh citizens but to all foreign nationals who are not from visa-exempt countries. The Egyptian government currently keeps a visa-exempt list of countries whose citizens do not need visas to enter the country, but Bangladesh is not one of them.
So if you are a passport holder from a Far East Asian country, you must show your visa at the airport before you can enter. Every year, millions of foreigners visit Egypt as tourists, and as a Bangladeshi, you are welcome to do the same.
How To Apply For An Egypt Visa For Bangladeshi?
There are different application options for citizens from Bangladesh, and we review them below.
Visa On Arrival
It will interest you to know that the government of Egypt included Bangladesh on the visa in arrival lost not too long ago. This means that as a citizen of Bangladesh, you can travel to Egypt without a visa but rest assured that one will be issued to you at the airport. The visa on arrival is available at only two airports in Egypt: the Cairo International Airport and the Sharm El Sheikh Airport. If you arrive at any of these airports and show your Bangladesh passport, you will be issued a visa on arrival.
Aside from your passport, the immigration officers will ask for your return flight ticket back to your country and a hotel reservation document. They will also ask to see a statement of account showing evidence that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses while you are in Egypt. Furthermore, you should note that this visa on arrival is only valid for 30 days, so it is not the ideal visa for longer visits. If you intend to stay for much longer, consider another visa.
Application At The Embassy
Another method is to apply to the Egyptian embassy in Dhaka. This is the normal application process for those looking for long term visas like a work or study visa. The embassy will request selected documents to prove your eligibility, and only applicants that meet these requirements will be issued the visa. The documents that will be requested include a completed application form, a valid Bangladesh passport, two recent photographs, travel medical insurance, proof of funds, proof of accommodation, etc. These documents must be submitted to the visa officer on the day of the visa interview, including a receipt of payment for the visa fee, which is nonrefundable.
Embassy applications take about 15 working days to process, and successful people will be invited to collect their visas.
Online Application
The third option for Bangladesh citizens is the online method. You can only apply for an e visa over the internet, and this visa is valid for a short time. The e visa is for tourists and those visiting family and friends for 30 days. The single entry visa is valid for 90 days, while the multiple entry visa is valid for 180 days. This visa is not a work visa, and holders cannot remain in Egypt for more than 30 days per visit. You can apply for it by
