    Cape Verde Visa Policy

Cape Verde has a standard visa policy that regulates the entry of foreign nationals from other countries. Most visitors are required to hold visas before they can enter the island unless they are from visa exempt countries. Most of the visa-exempt visitors are citizens of fellow African countries, including a few European and American countries and territories. Visas are issued in one of two ways; through Cape Verdian foreign missions or consulates or in person once the visitor arrives at any of the international airports in the island country.

As of the time of writing, citizens from a total of 61 territories and countries can visit Cape Verde without visas and stay for a varying number of days. Some can stay for 90 days, while others can stay for 60 and 30 days visa-free. However, visa-free visitors are required to apply for a pre-screening program at least five days before their arrival. They must also pay a security fee on arrival or online during the registration.

The Cape Verdian visa waiver list is by no means static but changes from time to time. It is determined by multilateral and bilateral relations between the Cape Verde and other countries. That is to say that the countries on the visa-free list may change from time to time, which is why it is important to always consult the list to know if your country is listed before applying for a visa.

    Cape Verde Visa On Arrival

Tb visa arrival program is open to almost all the countries absent from the visa-exempt list, excluding Morocco. This visa is available at all the international airports on the island. Once the visitor arrives, they are ushered to the immigration kiosk, where they are given a form to complete. After completing this form, they must pay the required application fee before submitting the form approval.

Approval is granted on the spot, and the applicant’s passport will be stamped, and they can enter Cape Verde. At this point, it is important to note that a visa on arrival is only issued to persons coming for tourism, business, or transit; you cannot get a visa on arrival if you are coming to Cape Verde for work or any other long-term commitment.

For other purposes, you must apply directly to a Cape Verdian foreign mission for approval. Also, you cannot exceed the number of days you are allowed to stay on the island. The maximum number of days is determined by your nationality.

Ease For Cabo Verde (Online Pre-Screening)

The Ease for Cabo Verdo is an online visa screening or travel authorization document for air travelers. Anyone arriving in Cape Verde by air must register for it online regardless of their nationality or whether they need a visa or not. This document was implemented to screen visitors for security and health risks; it is similar to ETIAS used by European Union countries. The purpose of Ease for Cabo is to strengthen the border security of the island nation so visitors with nefarious intentions will not be able to enter.

This screening document is linked to the applicant’s passport and can only be used once. The application is done online with only a few data entries on the form that will take only a few minutes to complete. You must provide your travel , personal, and passport information in the form, including providing answers to some security questions.

There is also something called an Airport Security Tax (TSA) which the applicant must pay online before their application will be approved. If you are unable to pay it online, you can pay it once you arrive, but that will warrant you waiting in line for a while.
